Yes, but is there a centerfold?
The
May/June 2004 issue of Juggle, the official magazine of the International
Jugglers' Association, presented Rhys Thomas as the cover feature.
Rhys was (and is) delighted by the whole experience and the wonderful
recognition this has brought to his work. Affirmation is such a
positive thing (duh).
His only regret is that, while the article says good stuff about
his biological father's and mother's influence on his work, there
was no recognition of his Step Father's influence on his mind and
juggling. Marty Nelson raised Rhys from 3 years on and was his
primary inspiration in circus arts. Marty is a unicyclist, gymnast
and all around intriguing guy. Marty serves as a constant positive
role model for living as an artist since he is a jeweler, sculptor,
set designer, painter, graphic artist, cartoonist and musician.
Whew. Now that's inspirational.
